Backpacking Europe- July 28, 2022

I've never experienced anything like the last two months. My backpacking journey caused major growth regarding my perception on the world and people. I was slapped across the face by culture shock and have changed in many ways for the better since I've arrived here. This was my first time in Europe and I nothing could have prepared me for this trip.

We roughed the entire trip, choosing the cheapest trains and hostels to fit our budget. Even though this was not a luxurious trip, I would not prefer to travel around Europe any other way. I had some of the best interactions with people on my trip through hostels and grimy transportation. If you want a true European experience I would suggest roughing it as hard as you possibly can. Especially coming from Hawaii, at some point we found ourselves in Montenegro and people were astonished at how we managed to travel such a great distance.
