Mens Get Away- November 10, 2022

During our semester abroad, the men in our friend group decided to take two trips together. The first was to Milan and Lake Como in Italy, the second we went to Bucharest, Romania. These trips were the craziest trips I went on, getting into all kinds of trouble and finding ourselves in the oddest predicaments. Within the counsel were six members to these excursions- Jacob Sweed, Andras Fujimoto, Duarte Laporte, Marcos Barriero, Zach Boone, and I.

When we were in Milan we were also able to meet Marcos's Brother Yago, who toured us around, taking us to all the tourist locations and great places to eat. After Milan we went to Lake Como which blew my mind with its beauty. I was particularly excited to visit hear because the location was home to some screen time in the movie Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, when Anakin and Padme were on their honeymoon.

The trip to Bucharest was a lot more unpredictable and chaotic. Bucharest was entirely new to all of us, having a new currency, language none of us spoke, and tourist traps around every corner. The night life in Bucharest was amazing with people, bars, and clubs everywhere in the old town. It was a jammed packed weekend and we got as much done as possible. Eating out at restaurants, exploring the city and its landmarks, and intermingling with the locals.
