Sophia Antipolis - Antibes, France- September 1st, 2022

Antibes is a cute resort town between the better known Cannes and Nice on the French Riviera. Its known for its old town enclosed by 16th century ramparts with the star-shaped Fort Carre. Arriving in Antibes was a huge relief. I felt safe and comfortable walking from the gare (train station) to our apartment. Andras my roommate, and I were very anxious and curious to see what our living situation would reveal about ourselves. I backpacked for 2 months before settling in Antibes for school and out of all the cities I've visited, Antibes is the only one that I can imagine living in.

Exploring the town we felt more and more at home. Discovering beautiful beaches and lively restaurants within walking distance from our home. Plage de la Gravette, our local beach is were I try to begin most mornings, making the most of my time in France.

We had a week before school started and we made the most out of that time. We created a tight friend group within days from SKEMA's international orientation. Friends that I will keep for the rest of my life we share some of the best memories of my life. They have made this erasmus a life changing experience.
